Legal Terms & Conditions
Understanding how we work together and protect your interests
Look, legal pages aren't exactly riveting reading. But when you're dealing with bug tracking software and IT services, it matters that both of us know where we stand. We built pdfgiar.com to make bug reporting easier—not to create confusion about how we operate.
These terms apply when you use our platform, whether you're testing it out or running critical bug tracking operations. Last updated March 2025, because things change and we want you working with current information.
Service Agreement
When you sign up for pdfgiar.com, you're entering into a service agreement with us. This covers everything from basic bug tracking features to advanced reporting tools. We provide the platform—you provide accurate information about the issues you're tracking.
Your account stays active as long as you meet the terms. If something goes sideways (like misuse of the system), we'll reach out before taking action. Communication matters here.
Data Handling
Bug reports often contain sensitive technical details. We get that. Your data stays yours, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Period.
We use encryption for data transmission and storage. Backups happen automatically, and we maintain redundancy in case something fails. If there's ever a security incident, you'll hear from us directly—no delays.
User Responsibilities
You're responsible for maintaining secure access credentials and using the platform appropriately. That means not attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, overload our servers, or use the service for anything illegal.
- Keep your login information secure
- Report actual bugs and technical issues
- Don't share accounts across organizations
- Follow reasonable usage limits
Service Availability
We aim for high uptime, but IT services aren't bulletproof. Scheduled maintenance happens, usually during low-traffic hours. Emergency fixes might require brief interruptions.
We'll notify you about planned downtime through your registered email. For unexpected issues, status updates go out as quickly as we can assess the situation.
Payment & Subscription Terms
Pricing depends on which tier you choose and how many team members need access. We bill monthly or annually—annual subscriptions come with a discount because predictable revenue helps us plan improvements.
Billing Process
Charges process automatically on your renewal date. If a payment fails, we'll retry it and send you a notification. After three failed attempts, access gets suspended (not deleted—just paused) until payment goes through.
You can update payment methods anytime through your account dashboard. We accept major credit cards and process everything through secure payment providers.
Refund Policy
First month not working out? Contact us within 30 days and we'll process a refund. After that initial period, payments aren't refundable—but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.
If we mess up (overcharge you, technical error on our end), we'll make it right immediately. No hassle, no runaround.
Price Changes: We don't surprise you with sudden price hikes. Any pricing changes get announced at least 60 days before they affect your account. You'll have the option to continue at your current rate through the end of your billing cycle, or adjust your subscription.
Intellectual Property Rights
The pdfgiar.com platform—code, design, features, documentation—belongs to us. Using our service doesn't transfer any ownership rights. That said, what you create using our platform (your bug reports, custom workflows, documentation) stays yours.
We occasionally need to access your data for technical support or system maintenance. When that happens, our team follows strict protocols. Nobody's browsing your bug reports for entertainment.
Third-Party Integrations
Our platform connects with various development tools and project management systems. When you enable these integrations, you're agreeing to their terms too. We facilitate the connection, but can't control how those external services operate.
If an integration breaks (API changes, service discontinuation), we'll work to fix it when possible. Sometimes third parties make changes outside our control though.
Limitation of Liability
Here's where it gets into standard legal territory. We provide bug tracking tools, but we're not responsible for decisions you make based on the data in your reports. If your team misses a critical bug because someone didn't log it properly—that's not on us.
We maintain the platform diligently, but we can't guarantee zero downtime or perfect operation under all circumstances. Natural disasters, cyberattacks, infrastructure failures—some things are beyond anyone's control.
Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. This excludes cases involving gross negligence or intentional misconduct on our part.
We carry professional liability insurance and take our obligations seriously. But realistic limits need to exist so we can continue operating and serving customers long-term.
Account Termination
You can cancel your account whenever you want. We don't lock you in or make the cancellation process difficult. Just go to your account settings and follow the steps. Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation in case you need to export anything.
Our Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Before we do that, we'll usually reach out to resolve the issue. Immediate termination happens only in cases of serious abuse—things like attempting to hack the system or using it for illegal activities.
If we terminate your account for cause, you won't receive a refund for the remaining subscription period. Fair warning.
Data Export
Before your account closes (whether you leave or we part ways), you can export all your bug reports and related data. We provide standard export formats that work with most systems. After the 30-day grace period, data gets permanently deleted according to our retention policies.
Changes to Terms
These terms will evolve as our service grows and regulations change. When we update them, you'll receive notice through your registered email at least 30 days before changes take effect.
Major changes (ones that significantly alter your rights or obligations) require your explicit acceptance to continue using the service. Minor clarifications or updates to reflect new features don't need separate approval—continuing to use the platform means you accept the updated terms.
We timestamp each version and maintain an archive of previous terms. If you ever need to reference what was in effect during a specific period, contact us.
